Based in Athens, OH, the Caitlin Kraus Trio is comprised of singer/songwriter and guitarist Caitlin Kraus and musical wizards Mark Hellenberg (drums), and Matt Box (bass). They sometimes perform as a five-piece band with John Borchard (pedal steel, lead guitar) and Bernie Nau (keys). Their music is melodic, lyrical, and falls within indie-folk/alternative genres.
